The A-ROSA Lago di Garda hotel, a 5-star resort owned by the German group DSR Holding and open for around 10 months a year, is seeking an experienced professional to join the team as Maître.

- A seasonal employment contract with a job classification and remuneration commensurate with experience and skills, in accordance with the applicable national collective agreement;

Responsibility
- Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, they oversee the efficient running of the restaurant in accordance with company standards and procedures, to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Ensures that the standards set by the hotel and the applicable regulations regarding hygiene, HACCP, health and safety at work and environmental sustainability are applied in all restaurant operations.
- Collaborates in the management of the restaurant’s activities, handling bookings, table allocation and the organisation of service teams, as well as the presentation of the menu and wine list.
- Coordinates and motivates the front-of-house staff to ensure a collaborative working environment and creates synergy with the kitchen to optimise service times and workflows.
- Ensures a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant by guaranteeing that every guest receives personalised attention and by handling requests and any complaints promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ proven experience in this role at a 5-star hotel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on quality service, organisational skills, attention to detail and punctuality, team spirit and leadership.
- Fluency in Italian and English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
- Flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to work at weekends or on public holidays, if necessary.
