DSR Hotel Holding is already focusing on a sustainable future with innovative hotel concepts. Solutions have been and are being found at the various locations to enable sustainable operations.

On the road to greater sustainability

  • Adapted rhythm of room cleaning during the stay
  • Vegan and vegetarian dishes as an essential part of the buffet and à la carte offerings
  • Use of seasonal and regional products and organic food
  • Avoiding plastic packaging for breakfast and dinner
  • Bicycle and e-bike rental
  • Initial integration and further expansion of e-charging stations
  • Most hotel rooms do not have minibars, kettles and coffee machines
  • Cooperation with exclusively sustainable cosmetics partners
  • Digitalization of check-in and check-out processes

We will continue along this path in the future. We therefore rely on natural timber construction for new hotel properties.

There will be no more “business as usual” in tourism – there will be a comprehensive change in policy, society, investment and taxation. In its new decisions, the EU has created fundamental, irreversible taxonomic foundations for the transformation of the economy. The way we live, work and travel has changed and will change massively.

GreenSign certification

The GreenSign sustainability certification is awarded by the GreenSign Institut GmbH from Berlin. This is a certification catalogue recognised by the world-renowned Global Sustainable Tourism Council for determining the level of sustainability of a hotel.
